AXEL VOID lives and works in Miami. Part of a generation of young painters, who derive their dynamics from graffiti and street art, Axel Void surpasses these categories and opens the doors to his conception of art to such an extent that his work cannot be restricted by classifications. He moves effortlessly among murals, spray cans, installation, oil and acrylic paintings, audio and video recordings, and countless drawings. With uncomfortable, unpleasant, psychological and social issues dominating his work, yet again these issues are repeatedly broken by ironic statements, and oftentimes, by the beauty he finds in even the most mundane of daily life.
