M.P. Dhakshna, a Chennaite, has been in the hoarding painting business for fifteen years – beginning as a teenager and continuing to paint throughout his five years at the College of Fine Arts in Chennai. One of the most talented and successful artists to have emerged from Chennai’s vibrant 1990s art scene, he is known for his dramatic use of color and state-of-the-art compositional skills. Along with his team he specializes on huge hand painted Cutouts that nowadays are a prominent feature of election campaigns.
